Collaboration Tools - Thing 16

I explored Google Drive as a Collaboration tool. I opened the Google Doc. link/ R23 Thing 16, edited the document and made a comment
Google document is a useful way for a few people to work on a document though they may be in different locations. I suggest a max. of 3-4 people to work on a document, if there were more people it may get confusing.
In my workplace most of us are in 1 location and it would be easier to meet in person and discuss a document rather than use Google Drive. Some staff are in separate locations in the county and Google Drive may be useful in this case. I am currently a member of the WRSLAI committee. I live at a distance from other members and again Google Drive may be a good way for me to work on a document with them.
In the library we use a Shared Library Calendar which is on our IT Network. This allows us enter dates/ times of Events plus information on the Event. At the end of the year a Record of Events is drawn up for the branch library and this is taken from the Online Calendar. This is used for Statistics. We also share folders/ documents through the Library Network. The Online calendar and Shared folders are useful Collaboration tools.
